Master Packaging Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Process Engineer in our Borden, PE facility. In this role, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working on process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in engineering principles, a passion for process improvement, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:

This individual will be involved in a variety of technical activities including but not limited to:

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of lean six sigma projects.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical).
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S and six sigma principles and methodologies would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Process Engineer

Bilingual Customer Solutions Specialist

Dieppe, NB

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick is currently seeking a self-motivated and customer focused individual to join our growing team as a Bilingual Customer Solutions Specialist.

Responsibilities: This position requires the skills to manage internal and external client relationships while providing support for our various products. Working in a B2B environment, this role requires a balance of customer service skills with system and technical knowledge, ingenuity, and ability to solve problems. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Receive orders from customers, check open orders, inventory and remainders and reduce order quantities accordingly.
  • Work closely with planning to book orders and give realistic dates of production.
  • Coordinate with shipping to arrange trucks, send remainders, and reduce inventory.
  • Replenish inventory as required depending on customers' service agreements.
  • Interact daily with customers and relevant stakeholders to understand customer needs and values to facilitate orders from receipt to delivery.
  • Become a knowledge expert in Master Packaging products.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Outside Sales Team.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • College education in business or equivalent is preferred.
  • A strong Customer Service orientation with 2 to 5 years' experience in Customer Service, preferably within a manufacturing or B2B environment.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Experience in the paper converting, printing or graphic arts industry is preferred, or an aptitude to learn.
  • Intermediate computer skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in  Dieppe, New Brunswick, is currently seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals who are interested in joining our team in the role of Hybrid Shunter and Forklift.

Rotation: Forklift: Monday to Friday

Shunter: 4 days on, 4 days off (8 Day Rotation)2 Day shifts (6:30 AM to 6:30 PM) followed by 2 Night shifts (6:30 PM to 6:30 AM)

Note: This role will primarily be responsible for covering the vacations of our shunters who currently work a rotation of 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off. When there is no additional shunter needed, your role will be Monday to Friday working as a shipper or in utility in our production area.

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Shipping Front Line Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

Shunter:

  • Deliver quality products to our local customers in the Greater Moncton Area, in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Move trailers in and out of loading doors, as required by the Shipping and Receiving Teams.
  • Complete daily yard checks to maintain the accuracy of our trailer inventory.
  • Complete daily checks on pallet inventories. Pick-up and deliver pallets to the plant, as required.
  • Achieve and maintain forklift driver certification. When available, assist the Shipping Team to move pallets inside the plant or other forklift duties, as assigned by the Manager/Team Leader.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of our shunt and delivery trucks. Monitor operating conditions and plan for Preventive Maintenance or repairs, as required.
  • Keep the yard organized, clean, and always follow safe work practices.
  • Follow instructions from the Shipping FLM and Team Leaders to ensure priorities are understood and communicate the status of trailer movements with Team members.

Forklift

  • Operate forklift in a safe, productive manner following MPI safety standards and report any incidents, accidents, damage, or concerns
  • ­ Complete daily forklift inspection checklist and communicate any equipment issues
  • ­ Organize product in warehouse via scanning all while ensuring quality
  • ­ Document and conduct daily cycle counts
  • ­ Ensure quality damage free units are shipped with 100% accuracy on bill of lading and release
  • ­ Complete expediting checks for each order and load
  • ­ Communicate to shipping clerks of any product that could not ship
  • ­ Communicate with carriers and truck drivers in absence of clerks
  • ­ Facilitate product return procedures
  • ­ Organize finished goods inventory and supplies racking
  • ­ Participate in shift change, communicating all relevant information
  • ­ Engage in maintaining general cleanliness of work area and equipment
  • ­ Comply with the company safety programs, singing off annually on the policies
  • ­ Comply with the company food safety program, signing off annually on the policy
  • ­ Other duties as assigned

Requirement / Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess a valid Class 1 Drivers license in NB
  • Preferred 2 years of experience driving tractor trailers
  • Previous warehouse or shipping experience considered an asset
  • Possess a valid Forklift driver certification or ability to achieve certification
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain good relationships with customers
  • Proactive Team player with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
