Business Intelligence Analyst

Dieppe, NB

Position Summary

Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and driving change through analytics? Master Packaging is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to champion the adoption and evolution of business intelligence across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and business transformation.

As a key member of the Business Improvement team, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of Power BI solutions that empower decision-makers and enhance operational efficiency. You will act as a liaison between departments, helping to foster a data-driven culture and ensure the successful adoption of Business Intelligence tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models across multiple business units.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs, ensure user adoption, and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI development.
  • Build and deploy data sets, data flows, and documentation in a centralized data catalog.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues across departments.
  • Contribute to the development of the Master Packaging BI roadmap and change management strategy.
  • Identify trends and automation opportunities through advanced data analysis.
  • Maintain data structure, access controls, and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Monitor data quality and collaborate with data owners to resolve issues.
  • Support training and onboarding of users to promote BI literacy and self-service analytics.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 1–3 years working with large data sets or at least 1 year developing reports with Power BI.
  • Experience with data stores is an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • BI/Analytics certifications are considered an asset.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
  • Familiarity with SQL, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong data manipulation and logic-building skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Process Engineer

Dieppe, NB

Master Packaging Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Process Engineer. In this role, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working on process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in engineering principles, a passion for process improvement, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical).
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S and six sigma principles and methodologies would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

Position Responsibilities

This individual will be involved in a variety of technical activities including but not limited to:

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of lean six sigma projects.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.

  • Weekends as needed
