Maintenance Manager

Borden-Carleton, PE

Master Packaging Inc. the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, is currently seeking for a self-motivated and energetic individual who can lead our Maintenance team in the Borden, PE location.

Responsibilities: As a member of a highly energetic and goal-oriented team, you will be mainly responsible for the following:

  • Determine and maintain all maintenance accounts within budget.
  • Responsible for asset management including maximizing utilization, replacement, upgrading, maintenance, and tracking.
  • Supervise maintenance employees and custodians.
  • Coordinate and schedule all plant/building repairs or maintenance, equipment modifications or installations.
  • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize production downtime and increase equipment reliability to enhance product quality.
  • Create training and development programs for maintenance employees.
  • Promote a team working environment through trust, respect, and effective communication.
  • Help department define and measure progress towards organizational goals.
  • Performance management; hiring, coaching, training, performance appraisals, time and attendance management, corrective actions, constructive feedback for performance and efficiency improvement.
  • Accountable for prioritizing, justifying, and providing direction on capital expenditures in collaboration with capital procurement manager.
  • Manage safety standards; provide leadership and direction towards plant wide safety.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a maintenance or engineering role.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with the use of CAD software.
  • Efficient with computers.
  • Understanding of finance and supply chain management.
  • Exposure to Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
  • Understanding of reliability, preventive, and predictive maintenance concepts.

Production Associate

Borden-Carleton, PE

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in Borden-Carleton, Prince Edward Island is currently seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals who are interested in joining our team in the role of Production Associate.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 / + $2 Night Shift / Time and a Half Sunday Premium

Rotation: 4 on, 4 off (8 Day Rotation)

Shift: 2 Day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) followed by 2 Night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Responsibilities: As a member of a highly energetic and goal-oriented team, you will be mainly responsible for the quality of our finished product and will assist and work cooperatively with the staff as needed in a variety of roles all while following safe practices like feeding, off-piling and palletizing product from the conveyor belt.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have High School / GED level education. At least 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing industry. Must be result oriented, team player and most importantly willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Able to lift 25lbs to 50lbs.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain, you will be mainly responsible for the following:

  • Managing, motivating, and leading a small team of shippers.
  • Managing all activities related to logistics, freight, and inventory control.
  • Promoting safe working conditions as well as maintaining housekeeping per expected standards.
  • Handling a variety of paperwork and record keeping.
  • Focusing on efficient operations of shipping department at lowest overall cost.

Requirement / Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience along with a post-secondary diploma or degree (experience in leading teams or within logistics would be assets)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Attentive to detail, precise and effective, with follow through
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Bilingual Customer Solutions Specialist

Dieppe, NB

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick is currently seeking a self-motivated and customer focused individual to join our growing team as a Bilingual Customer Solutions Specialist.

Responsibilities: This position manages internal and external client relationships while effectively providing support for our various products. The Customer Solutions Specialist balances customer service skills with system and technical knowledge, ingenuity, and the ability to solve problems. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Receive orders from customers, check open orders, inventory and remainders and reduce order quantities accordingly.
  • Monitor machine routings, board grade, capacity and work closely with planning to book orders and give realistic dates of production.
  • Coordinate with shipping to arrange trucks, send remainders, and reduce inventory.
  • Replenish inventory as required depending on customers' service agreements.
  • Interact daily with customers and relevant stakeholders to understand customer needs and values to facilitate orders from receipt to delivery.
  • Manage the approvals between the Design department and the Customer for samples, proofs, and artwork. Schedule press side approvals for First Time Orders.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Outside Sales Team.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • College education in business or equivalent is preferred.
  • Team player attributes. Reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and loyalty are essential to deliver the high-quality performance expected.
  • Effective communication and high-level service skills towards customers to comply with the business ongoing demand.

Reliability Engineer

All Locations

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick and Borden – Carleton, PEI, is currently seeking a self-motivated and focused individual to join our team as a Reliability Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP Manufacturing, a Reliability Engineer focuses on developing, coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle including:

  • Measuring and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production.
  • Recommending design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
  • Completing risk analysis studies of new designs and processes.
  • Undertaking testing and analysis on failures, proposing changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.
  • Communicate across all levels of facility personnel to build collaboration and align the organization to prioritized reliability opportunities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and work with Planners and Coordinators to advance maintenance workflow and highlight prioritized jobs requiring completion.
  • Work with maintenance and site management to develop and track KPI's, and implement condition based monitoring strategies and systems.
  • Develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules on existing and new assets.
  • Optimize maintenance inventory levels to ensure critical product availability and acceptable stock value.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • Analytical and detail oriented with a high level of commitment and self-motivation.
  • Working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system is a plus.
  • Regularly support and travel to both plants (Dieppe, NB and Borden- Carleton, PEI) .
